PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:YONAI Kyanite
YONAI Kyanite mine located in the south west of Henan Province where is the largest and best mining area of kyanite in China.
Properties of YONAI Kyanite YK series.
1. Thermal Expansion: When heated the inner structure of YK will be transformed into mullite mixture with SiO2 and in this process the volume of kyanite will be expanded and a well distributed mullite needle like net will be formed, the expansion rate will be 16%~18%.
2. Stable: Refractories mixed YK will have 1.5 times of stability than the fire clay base refractories. Kyanite base refractory brick has 43% less consumption loss than fire clay brick, and longer working life than fire clay brick (usually more than 150~200 times).
3. Higher Refractoriness: Common refractoriness of fire clay base brick is 1670℃~1770℃ While kyanite base brick can reach more than 1790 ℃, 1850 utmost.
4. Irreversible: After heated, the kyanite will be transformed into mullite which is an irreversible process while temperature below 1810 ℃ it is stable. Kyanite base refractories have volume stability at high temperature, low expansion rate and strong anti chemical corrosion , high mechanical strength and strong thermal shock resistance.
The Functions of YONAI Kyanite.
1. Improve the Refractoriness Under Load (RUL) and Creep Resistance .
2. Improve Thermal Shock Resistance.
3. Adjust the Firing Shrinkage of refractories.
Applications of YONAI Kyanite.
1. Working as raw material of brick especially light weight mullite brick to improve the mullite phase and high temperature volume stability.
2. Working as additives to low creep hot blasting furnace brick to improve thermal shock resistance and anti creep.
3. Working as an expansion agent in monolithic refractories, non sintered high alumina brick and pre-casting block to stop
the high temperature shrinkage of refractories
4. Working as raw material of natural sintered mullite.
